The Secret File on John Birch
The Secret File on John Birch by James Hefley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An excellently researched book outlining the ministry and later military carreer of John Birch. A young preacher from Macon, Georgia becomes an outstanding missionary to China. As Word War II makes it hard for missionaries to stay in China, John refuses to leave but joins the military instead. It is noteworthy that John continued preaching, witnesing, giving out tracts while being an officer in the Army Air Force working with the Flying Tigers. This is the real America unlike today where soldiers are required to hush about their faith or get courtmartialed if the start witnessing to local Muslims in Afghanistan or Iraq.
